Community Learning Program
The Community Learning Program (CLP) offers free one on one mentoring/tutoring for adults that want to improve their reading, writing, math or computer skills. We may also be able to provide adults with specialized mentors to support them in work related or other personal educational improvement. Learners can work towards goals in all levels of the Adult Learning Program (ALP), from Level 1 through Level 4 or towards goals within the GED program.
Within the Community Learning Program adult Learners are paired with an adult volunteer Mentor to meet on a regular basis (usually weekly), to work on their learning goals. These sessions take place in public location throughout Dartmouth and area.
Individual programs usually run September through June and last for 1.5 – 2 hours per week at a spot booked in a public location that is convenient to both the learner and the mentor.
