For the past five years First Book Canada has been distributing free new books in Nova Scotia, to children, homes, schools and community organization where poverty runs high and access to resources is low. To date they have distributed over 100 million books and education resources to programs and schools serving low-income families. Traditionally the book distribution has taken place in Halifax, but not this year!

Tuesday, May 19th, 2015 for the First Book Canada National Book Distribution in conjunction with Adult Learning Association of Cape Breton County, Dartmouth Learning Network & Breton Ability Centre.

Where :

Breton Ability Centre Outreach Building, 152 Bentinck St, Sydney, NS

Time : 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm 

Who is invited?: Teachers, administrators, pre-school programs, community organizations and individuals providing services to families living in poverty or on a low-income, members of the public
